With comparisons to Jessie Reyez & Olivia Rodrigo, Aayushi Kumar (I.You.She) is a Boston-based chill emo pop punk musician whose lyricism exposes the existential dread one experiences in daily life & how to get through it. Working alongside producer Jake Crocker (Dempsey Hope & Sam Lachow), she releases her third single, chill pop/rock track ‘Dear Life’ - a song about the realization of time passing and failed attempts of trying to hang on to it. She sings “So I rewatch all my favorite tv shows / And try to forget that I’m growing old / Time’s a strange thing to say the least / I’m scared of losing it though I’ve always wanted to leave”. I.You.She’s vocals and lyrics are similar to those of Willow Smith while her music also brings to mind Fletcher’s pop elements, Remi Wolf’s funkiness, and Miley Cyrus’ most recent rock sound. She’s had great opportunities to perform as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, for TedxEvents, non-profits & house shows within the underground scene.
